Cuan takes its name from the Irish word for harbour, a place of arrival, shelter and steady calm. The design is drawn from the Carrick Bend, a sailors knot long used to hold fast through shifting wind and tide. Its interlaced form brings movement and flow into a hallway or bedside space, guiding the eye gently along its length without overwhelming the room.
